Solgames is an awesome LAN event for all ages. So what is a LAN event? Well a LAN is short for Local Area Network, and a party is a group of people that get together to have a good time. So a LANparty is a group of people that network their computers together in order to have a good time by playing games and learning from each other. Not sure if a LANparty is for you? Well first you get to play lots of games. And you are playing against real people on a gigabit network. Next you are able to develope your computer skills by learning from a group of knowledgeable people. The best way to learn more about your computer is to use it. SolgamesUSA has been accepted as a part of the National Heritage Foundation. As such, SolgamesUSA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3),509(a)(1) under the NHF and shares its tax status. The focus of Solgames of Central Florida is to support a Local Area Network Party that provides computer gaming and entertainment as well as training and education in repair of computer systems to teens and young adults in the Orlando Community.

Well it looks like the next event will start Wednesday, November 19th at 9:00am and end at 6:00pm Wednesday. We have 1000 / 100 / 10 base network switches with dual gigabit servers to accommodate all. We do request a ten dollar a day donation which helps cover the rising cost of power and other needs that are required to run an event like this. Be sure to log in and register so we can provide enough tables and chairs to accommodate all the participants. Irlo Bronson Hwy (Hwy #192), Kissimmee, Fl, 34744. Thier number is 407-846-4545. If you have any questions you can call my office at 407-826-0810. I suggest showing up early to get premium seating. We will open the doors to gamers at 9:00am. We have setup a 600 amp power grid so there will be no power issues. Don't forget to bring some extra cash for food from the hotel. Do not try to brown bag it. The hotel will stop you unless you also have a room with them. They are still offering rooms at the $49 a night rate. If you have not properly signed up threw the website there will be a workstation at the front desk to signup with.

Ok guys you asked to be able to get a cheaper rate than $10 a day for the 200 man LAN. Well the only way to do that is to prepay. This lan is $20 for the entire event only if prepaid. Well I have been promising for a while that the site would get moved to a t3 and well Thanks to Sequimem Corporation we now have it hosted properly. So to reach the site you can use solgamesusa.com or solgamesfl.com. both point to the same page. We are also going to run a mirror location on my local lan so that we have quick access during the lanparties. The site will be able to handle more traffic on the new connection and for the lans, in particular the 200 man lan it is better to have a webserver local. For all web use please use www.solgamesusa.com Do not try the dyndns.org ips. They will be down and if we do put them back up the mirror site is only for use on the lan for testing. ok you all asked for it and now we are going to do one. June 20-22 at the Quality Inn off of 192 in Kissimmee Florida. This will be an awesome lanparty. Things to remember: Sign up right away we only have 200 seats if they are filled some will do without. You can prepay. Send a check to Solgames USA 4619 Tinsley Drive, Orlando Fl 32839 or call my office at 407-826-0810 with your credit card info. We are also trying to set up a paypal account. Prepay for this event will reserve your seat. No prepay means you pay at the door. First 200 that pay get in. DO NOT BRING SPEAKERS. Any event this large power is always a concern. You can bring one monitor and one computer. If you need more you will have to call me first to discuss it. All food is to be purchased from the Hotel. If you are going to buy food elsewhere the Hotel staff will want you to eat it elsewhere. And they are not going to let us get away with it. All the normal rules apply. The hotel does have a restaurant and I will post a menu as soon as I get it. They have a bar but no alcohol allowed in the game room. Also if you want your own hotel room. Or if you are comming from out of town. Their normal room rates are $80 a night. They are reducing it to $49.95 a night for the event. (so just book fri and sat night) You can call the hotel at 1-877-586-8080 and say you are booking for the solgames usa group to get the discount. We will offer some network connects to the rooms for those that request them. If you don't want your own hotel room don't get one. The game room will be open 24 hours a day from 9:00am fri till 6:00pm sunday. Use the upcomming events forum on this site to request roommates if you do want to share a room with someone. Well guys Breaker has been working hard on the website, sometimes all into the night. You can try it out by just using the menu on the left and click SIGN UP NOW. Then just fill out the form and wait for an email. After you get the email you will be directed to another form to fill out and then full access to the site. there are lots of nice things in here so you want to do this right away.
